I stand corrected on the Princeton Review guides. The math and full GRE workbooks are riddled with errors… Stick with the Kaplan and ETS guides! That being said, I do still recommend the Princeton Review crash course booklet, because it gives great tips and recommendations. However, I’m floored at the number of mistakes they have in their books.

Ok thanks!

To answer your question: I’m studying on my own and I’m gonna take it in August :) I recommend the Kaplan premier guide, plus their math + verbal workbooks. The Kaplan premier guide comes with a CD-Rom with a bunch of practice tests. Get ETS’s guide, since they’re the people who write the exam. ETS won’t really review math/verbal skills as much as Kaplan, but you’ll get practice questions that are going to be very similar to what we’ll find on the exam. Also, Princeton Review has a great “crash course” book that gives really good tips and tricks. I’m also considering purchasing Princeton Review’s math + verbal workbooks and their guide as well. I got McGraw Hill’s math + verbal workbooks, but I didn’t find them very helpful. McGraw Hill’s workbooks are better for remedial practice of math and verbal skills. I purchased them all on Amazon.com because the prices are very good on their website! :D

Cool, thanks so much! I think I’m going to take the GRE in August too 🙂

Not a question, but anyways: I think Tumblr deleted the link I posted as a note for your last post o_O… Here it is again: http://www.ptcas.org/PTCASCrsPrereq2010_11_forApplicants.pdf This will show you all the prerequisites for PT programs that participate in PTCAS. There’s also a page on PTCAS’s website that shows the GRE requirements for PT schools and whether they want you to take the old or new version of the GRE. Also, I can recommend some good study books for the new GRE if you want :)

Thanks so much! And I’d definitely love your new-GRE study book recommendations. Did you study on your own, or did you also take a course? Most of the schools I want to apply to say they prefer the old GRE, but I don’t have time to take it until the new one is available, so

I’m about to graduate college and I still need to take a lot of pre-reqs too before applying! How are the classes so far?

I haven’t started the science pre-reqs yet. I start them next week and expect they’ll take about a year. I graduated from college as a psych major, so at least I have the humanities classes down. What was your major, and why’d you change to PT?
