Hi! I’ll be finishing my undergrad this coming spring. However, I’m missing couple of pre-reqs for PT school. If all goes according to plan I can have it finished by fall 2014 or the latest spring 2015. I’m confused with the application process. When should I start applying? I have yet to take my GRE’s. Also, I never took statistic, and most school requires it. However, I did take calculus and bio statistics. Do you think schools will accept one of those classes?

I think you should apply to start in summer/fall 2015, which means you start applying anytime after summer 2014. Most schools will allow you to apply while you’re still finishing up a few pre-req’s, but each school has different requirements about this. I know there’s this whole issue about calling PTs doctor or not. What’s your opinion on this and what would you want to be called?

Since all but one physical therapy program in the US has already switched over to the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, and the degree has already existed for at least 10 years, I don’t see the point in people arguing over the title; It is already happening (and has been for several years).
