About

I am a physical therapist who previously worked as a journalist, and I’m proud of melding both of my careers. In addition to practicing for nine years in outpatient orthopedic settings, I have continued writing and editing professionally.

I have over 15 years of editing experience, which I use to edit application essays for physical therapy school applicants and copyedit for other physical therapists. I also write about physical therapy for both the public and those in the physical therapy world, and serve as a resource for publications and podcasts on orthopedic injuries, exercise, and the importance of written communication.

I am a certified strength and conditioning specialist and I am passionate about educating the public on the latest research in exercise and rehabilitation.

Although I grew up outside of New York City and graduated with my doctor of physical therapy degree from Columbia University, I returned to live near my undergraduate alma mater, Cornell University, and currently reside in Ithaca, NY with my family.
