Hello. I have been reading your posts for about a year now and I have learned a lot from you. I am an undergrad with 3 semesters left until graduation. I have good grades and will more than likely get into a physical therapy program but I feel like those grades don’t really reflect my knowledge. I guess my question is in what ways can I prepare myself for physical therapy school? Will studying anatomy and physiology a bit each day prepare me? Just how much physics material will I need to know?

As long as you fulfill the pre-requisites that the school wants you to take, you should be prepared for PT school. If you take the physics classes as your pre-req’s it will be enough. Studying anatomy is great because it’s one of the most important aspects of PT, but that is probably also a pre-req, and you’ll learn it well once you’re in school. My advice would be to finish your pre-req’s and maybe take an extra class or two in subjects such as exercise physiology or kinesiology. Either way, you and your classmates will all be on the same page after the first semester or two. The best preparation for PT school would be to get a volunteer position or job at a PT clinic so that you have actual PT experience. Also, enjoy college!
