In college, even though I took a lot of electives and took classes in any order I wanted, I was constantly drawing connections between theories I was learning in Communication, Psychology and other classes. As a post-bacc student studying basic Anatomy, Chemistry and Physics, the classes I’m taking often seem too divergent. Until today.
I am studying the gas laws in both chemistry and physics, and was able to apply them to anatomy by understanding how pressure is involved in determining one’s blood pressure. It’s great to finally feel a connection running through my classes again, and it’s also fun to finally understand what those seemingly random blood pressure numbers mean.
