Since I’ve been home now for a week, I’ve done a lot of catching up with people and informing them of my plans to study physical therapy. It’s been great to hear all the reactions. I’ve heard lots of positives, such as “Oh, that’s a great field,” but what’s been the best is hearing from people who have been in physical therapy as patients. So many of them say things like, “Wow, that’s great. Going to physical therapy was so helpful for me!” My dental hygienist talked about how seeing a PT for her migraines changed her life by allowing her to resume working again. It feels really great to be entering a field that helps make a difference in so many people’s lives.
What reactions have you gotten to telling people about your PT plans?
